Privacy Policy

Registration. Name, email, phone, company/college, city, role, years of experience, T-shirt size, and your chosen category (Ride 20km / Run 1K·3K·5K, run distance, rental-cycle add-on).

Emergency contacts. The emergency contact name and number you provide. We use these only for on-day safety — to reach someone if you are injured or unwell at the event.

Payments. Order IDs, amounts, and payment status. Card/UPI/bank details are entered on our payment partner's pages and processed via Cashfree — we never see or store your card numbers, UPI PINs, or bank credentials.

Accounts. Your login email, display name, and sign-in method (email OTP and/or Google). OTP codes are stored as one-way hashes and expire in 10 minutes.

Tech Profile (optional). Headline, bio, skills, work links (LinkedIn/GitHub/portfolio), fitness stats and clubs — whatever you choose to publish. Premium profiles are visible to leaders (founders, entrepreneurs, executives & technology leaders) with exclusive access only if you enable the "list me" toggle.

Community & bulk enquiries. Anything you submit on our contact/community/bulk forms (name, email, phone, company, city, message).

Community platforms. If you request a community invite, we may share your contact details with WhatsApp and/or Discord (third-party platforms with their own privacy policies) to add you to invite-only groups.

Photography & filming. At the public event, we may photograph or film participants for event recaps and promotion. You can ask our crew on the day not to feature you.

Marketing (optional). If you opt in to "notify me" for future cities, we use your email to send updates when Techathlon launches in your area. You can unsubscribe any time.

Technical data. Basic device/browser information in server logs; a sign-in token stored in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in.

• Run registrations, issue tickets and QR entry passes, and manage payments and refunds.
• Contact you about the event (route maps, schedule changes, safety notices) and respond to support requests.
• Operate Tech Profiles, Premium membership, leader needs and connections you choose to use.
• Keep the event safe — including using emergency contacts if you need medical help.
• Create event recaps and promotional content from photographs and video (with your consent where required).
• Send marketing updates about future Techathlon editions if you opt in.
• Add you to community platforms (WhatsApp/Discord) if you request an invite.
• Improve future editions (aggregate, non-identifying statistics).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising.

Techathlon is operated by Intelliots Technology Solutions LLP (the data fiduciary under applicable law). We share your information only as follows:

• Intelliots Technology Solutions LLP — our registration and payment partner, which creates Cashfree orders and issues GST invoices on our behalf.
• Cashfree — payment gateway processing your transaction under its own privacy policy.
• Leaders with exclusive access — see only Premium Tech Profiles you choose to list (name, headline, skills, work links, fitness stats). Your phone number and emergency contacts are never shown to leaders.
• Premium members & leaders (chat) — if you enable chat, messages are shared with the other participant. Admin can see chat metadata (who messaged whom) for oversight.
• Community platforms — if you request an invite, we may share your contact details with WhatsApp and/or Discord to add you to invite-only groups.
• Authorities & safety — medical staff on event day if you need care, or law enforcement where legally required.

We don't use third-party advertising cookies. We store a signed sign-in token in your browser's local storage (cleared when you log out) and use strictly-necessary technical logs for security and debugging.

If you book bulk tickets (5+ attendees), you receive single-use coupon codes that attendees redeem at /register. Each attendee then provides their own personal data directly to us. As the organiser, you certify that each person who will redeem a coupon has consented (or will consent at registration) to Techathlon processing their personal data, or you are authorised to provide their details.

Registration and payment records are kept for at least 8 years for tax and accounting compliance. Tickets, profiles and community data are kept while your account is active. Ask us to delete your Tech Profile or community data any time at helloworld@techathlon.fit — we'll remove what the law lets us remove and confirm.

Under applicable Indian law (including the DPDP Act, 2023, as it comes into force) you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent for optional processing such as profile listing. Email helloworld@techathlon.fit from your registered address and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Payments run on PCI-DSS-compliant gateway infrastructure; passwords are never used for participant accounts (OTP + Google sign-in only); admin access is credential-gated. No internet transmission is perfectly secure, so please keep your OTPs private and log out on shared devices.

Techathlon Chennai Edition 01 is strictly 18+. Under-18 participants are not permitted, and every registrant confirms they are 18 or older at checkout.

If we materially change this policy we'll update the effective date above and, where practical, notify registered participants by email. For material changes affecting networking or marketing, we'll ask for fresh consent where required.
